From the Collection: KISS KISS BANG BANG

My once proud dvd collection has had a very dramatic stunt its growth thanks to Netflix (how i love thee), and lessening of disposable income. Still the number resides over 200, but in the last 5 years the consisetentcy of purchase has dwindled. I remember in college I used to go and buy a dvd when bored and wanting something to watch. Now to the point. I am picky somewhat to what goes in the collection. When it was tapes I through destroyed a tape and threw it in the trash because it did not belong. So it must fit, and in the last 5 years or so it must really impress and give me desire to have repeat viewings. I bring you to the point after saying 'now to the point' about three sentences ago. KISS KISS BANG BANG by writer and director Shane Black is a under the radar, genre and gut busting movie that I have seen three times at least. And remember I'm not 12 anymore so repeat viewings mean something. For the record I've probably seen Ghostbusters 30+ times thanks to a old BETA machine we had when I was a kid.

Kiss Kiss staring Val Kilmer and Robert Downey Jr, who are both hilarious, is a action/comedy hybrid that really makes you wish Hollywood didn't stick to the 'rules' as much. It also is a semi comeback film for Shane Black the once go to action script writer who was once the highest paid screenwriter with films such as LETHAL WEAPON(S) (also some of my favs though dwindled w/each sequel), LAST BOY SCOUT,AND THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT)

If you havent yet, check it out, I highly recommend it.
