IMPORT/EXPORT-Sam Rockwell has a career that I would like to have. Find fun and interesting roles, have the respect of the people you work with, people want to work with you, finds lots of work, and can walk the street and steer clear of the us weekly bullshit. Besides that I find him amazing to watch on screen. Not only can he play very different characters and types of film, but he really does take chances and follows his instincts. You may not know his name, but you probably should. And here is a wish as to why...
GREEN MILE(breakthrough role that was funny,disturbing,calculating crazy), GALAXY QUEST(great comedy,and plays goofy),CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND(havent seen this in a while so not sure if it holds up,but shows he can play two sides of one coin.) MATCHSTICK MEN,HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY/CHARLIES ANGELS (both turds,but especially in Hitch he was a scene stealer), JOSHUA,SNOW ANGELS,and upcoming CHOKE.
If you look at his upcoming slate he has about 6 projects in some facet of production. Sam seems to be a actor that would have turned down big Hollywood type starring roles and has come out of it for the better.
