Sitcoms on the brain, trying to figure out my favorites, the best,etc, etc. Had to break them down into divisions. This is the first.
SEINFELD-This show brought a new genre,style, and generation of comedy.
ROSEANNE-real people after the 80's sitcom of perfect familys. Controversial and also hilarious. Did fall off majorly in last season or so.
COSBY SHOW-I don't find this show hilarious, but the best sitcom for the whole family, and the first about a african american family.
MASH-A sitcom about war. Dark humor that I'm not sure would work on todays tv, and the finale is still the highest rated program in history.
ALL IN THE FAMILY-Archie Bunker would not be on television today. There is no way he would say the things he said. By far the most sociological sitcom, and also hilarious.
